"To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all." Oscar Wilde
From Skyfall to Ravel, I love finding ways to explore the boundaries of the bassoon world.
Studying with the former principal bassoonist of the Regina Symphony Orchestra Alan Denike, I completed my Bachelor of Bassoon Performance at the University of Regina.
There I met like-minded musicians with whom I co-founded my classical fusion quartet Artime. I have played with the Regina Symphony Orchestra since 2006. I teach bassoon, beginner voice and piano, history, theory, masterclasses and workshops.
My primary philosophy as a musician is that we are first and foremost entertainers with hopes of forming human connection. If we are very lucky we create art. Otherwise, we hope to bring a little joy and laughter to the audience.
